Off to the movies
When The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian was on air 2 months ago, we took little Wei Zhe, my baby to the movie. That was his very first movie at the cinema….Yeah, at the age of 5.5 months.
Seriously I did not think we could last for the whole show but it was pretty smooth…WZ only fussed twice. Every time, he started to make noise, I ran to the back and cajoled him. I cradled him, singing softly to him and moving about at the back of all the seats..…Instead of focusing on the movie, some young couples kept on looking at us at the back, don’t know for what!! Wasted their money if you asked me… Hahahhah..
Then 2 weeks ago, off we went to another movie, Kungfu Panda. These days, we chose movies that Xue Rou can watch, rather than movies we would rather watch. Anyway, there we were. Luckily, this time, the cinema was rather empty, so no hassle for me to run at the back should WZ make a fuss. I was quite prepared to tackle him without moving about. I let him climb my top vertical body (yes, one heck of an active little fella)as long as he is quiet. Surprisingly, he seemed to be quite engrossed in the movie. I can even say, at a certain point, he was actually watching the movie or rather listening to the sound made by Jack Black…hehehehhe…
I would say, this time round, WZ had an earlier exposure to movies. XR only got to watch her first movie when she was 2. Hey, she watched The Chronicles of Narnia too in year 2005. What a coincidence!! Now WZ got to watch the same movie with an addition of a Prince Caspian, 3 years later..How ironic!!
Overall, I really enjoyed myself and I think my kids enjoyed the movie too. What a nice family outing to the movie!! I wonder what would the next great movie to see. Will WZ be co-operative? Just keep my fingers crossed…:>
